Warranty Coverage
Depending on the product, we offer a 12-month or 24-month limited warranty from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service.

McGrath Locks products with 24-month limited warranty:

STAFFORD
Any McGrath Locks product not listed above has a 12-month limited warranty.
During the warranty period, if a product is found to be defective, we will, at our discretion:

Repair the product,

Replace the product with the same or an equivalent model, or

Provide a refund of the purchase price.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear
-
Product that has been disassembled
-
Damage caused by improper handling, incorrect installation, misuse, abuse, neglect, modification, or accident

Installation by unlicensed people (including non-licenced locksmiths or technicians)
-
Products not used in accordance with supplied instructions
-
Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
-
Labour or installation costs related to removal or reinstallation of products

Product exposure outside normal environmental conditions

Work completed before warranty approval
-
Damage caused by battery leakage, battery failure or force majeure.

How to Make a Warranty Claim
Purchased or Installed by Reseller
If you wish to claim on the warranty, please follow these instructions:

You may be asked you to return the product for assessment.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to major failure.
This warranty is provided in addition to your rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law.
